The site’s initial products include white cotton pajamas embroidered with the word “Love” and a tiny heart, created in collaboration with Charmajesty and handmade in the UK by Jermyn Street shirtmakers. (Someday we will travel to London again!) Or, for cozy WFH glamour, consider Over The Moon’s special edition Lingua Franca cashmere pullovers that can be personalized with your original last name, a new surname, or a hyphenated moniker. There are fine jewelry bird-in-cage earrings from the cult jeweler Of Rare Origin (before taking a plunge in the pool, Over The Moon suggests you stash these baubles in La Plage’s Just Married straw tote).

Macon says her emphasis is on “forever” pieces—items meant to be kept and cherished, not tossed out before you reach your paper anniversary. And perhaps forever itself has a different meaning these days. It is true that circumstances have made so many things we once took for granted seem like distant dreams—the elaborate, exquisitely choreographed destination wedding; the huge gathering of your tribe from infants to great-great grandparents where several generations could hug, and dance, and share a meal. Though some smaller in-person events are taking place again, they are by necessity intimate affairs, far from the blow-outs of yesteryear. “Obviously in the grand scheme of things, postponing one’s wedding isn’t the end of the world, especially in light of everything else happening,” Macon says. “But a lot of time, effort, and money go into planning these often once-in-a-lifetime events, so couples have had to make the tough decision to postpone or cancel and deal with the intense emotions that go along with figuring out exactly what their plan B is going to be.”

For those planning an al fresco dining experience to accommodate pandemic restrictions, Over The Moon is stocked with ideas for table settings.
