IT’S a chance to feel like Cinderella for a day — all you need to bring is your own glass slipper.
The Cinderella limousine, the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere, has hit the streets of the Gold Coast.
The stretch Chrysler has been customised to take luxury travel to a new level.
Runaway Bay-based Russian-born couple Alena and Slava Kouzmenkov brought the concept to the Gold Coast as part of their luxury limousine service Luxcars.
They had the limo custom-built in Sydney and have patented and trademarked the business in Australia and NZ.
Mr Kouzmenkov said the couple aimed to raise the bar when it came to tourism.
“We wanted to bring some European glamour and luxury service to the Gold Coast and offer women the chance to feel like a modern-day Cinderella for a day,” he said.
The Cinderella limousine will definitely turn heads — with its extended 2.4m high “carriage’’ in the middle inspired by the Queen’s own state coach, the Britannia.
The sleek red velvet carriage boasts its own bar, champagne glasses and bottles of bubbly on ice, a flat screen TV, surround sound stereo and comes complete with your own red carpet and professional chauffeur.
Under the hood of the Chrysler 300cc, done out in antique white with gold detailing, is a 5.7 supercharged V8 engine.
Marketing manager Steven Kennedy said the attention-grabbing limo had become a photo magnet the minute it hit the streets.
“This is a first for the Gold Coast and the first limo of its kind in Australia,” he said.
“It will add a touch of glamour and excitement to the Gold Coast; it’s a magical, modern-day version of a childhood fairytale.”
Luxcars plans to work with local hotels and wedding venues to offer special packages, with prices starting at $350 an hour.
Mr Kennedy said Luxcars plans offer franchises in Australia and NZ.
