HD Forums members have created an awesome interactive map perfect for planning out your next Harley road trip.
If there’s one thing that Harley-Davidson fans love to do, it’s take road trips. And there are countless suggestions out there in the world in terms of which scenic routes to take, as well as where to stop along the way. Regardless, we found this new interactive road map from the folks at HD Forums to be perhaps the ultimate Harley road trip planner.
Figuring out the perfect Harley road trip can be a bit of a pain, as most biker websites simply list off routes and stops with no real organization. And that’s the beauty of this interactive map – it contains only the best of the best, hand selected by the folks in the forums who’ve actually experienced these routes.
The map features not only places to ride, but also the best spots for food and drink, places to stay, and points of interest. It’s also a living map, which means that it’ll be updated constantly based on recommendations from members. And since it covers the entire globe, that makes it easy to navigate and pinpoint exactly what part of the world you’d like to experience on two wheels.
In just a few short days since the map was created, quite a few members have contributed their suggestions for awesome rides that have been added. We imagine that this will only continue, and the map will just get better with time. Better yet, it was created in Google Maps, so it’ll be easy to plug in and go when you’re ready to ride.
And if all of that isn’t enough, the thread itself is pretty awesome, too. Many members have shared not only suggestions for their favorite Harley road trip, but also pictures and even videos of those routes. So it’s certainly worth scrolling through and checking out if you’re looking for a cool place to ride this fall, as the colors start to change.
While you’re there, be sure and add your own suggestions as well, if you notice they’re not yet on the map. Because this is the best thing about the HD Forums community – it’s a real community. And resources like this are a pretty common sight when you’re sifting through the many threads our members contribute every single day.
