CCTV appeal after ‘shameful’ burglar raids sheltered accommodation

A CCTV appeal has been launched after a woman in her 80s was burgled in Liverpool.

A large amount of money was stolen from the elderly woman’s purse in Dene Court sheltered accomodation, on Long Lane in Fazakerley.

It is reported that a man gained entry to the flat at around 9.15pm on Sunday, July 26.

Belarus opposition appeal to EU fails to unblock sanctions

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – European Union foreign ministers failed to agree sanctions against Belarusian officials on Monday, despite an appeal by the country’s main opposition leader.
