MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A new internal survey finds nearly half of the state’s hotels and lodges may not make it another year without some financial assistance.
The numbers released by the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association showed 47 percent of lodging facilities face closing within 12 months unless they receive a loan or grant assistance.

Chicago officials once again will require anyone traveling between the city and Wisconsin to quarantine for 14 days, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which is a part of the USA TODAY Network.
The city added Wisconsin to its list of states with travel restrictions
The travel order is voluntary and directs travelers entering or returning to Chicago from states with a surge in new COVID cases to quarantine for 14 days.
The order applies to individuals coming from Wisconsin to Chicago for non-work purposes and Chicago residents returning from Wisconsin, unless they are an essential worker. Exceptions include travel for medical care and parental shared custody, and for travelers passing through Wisconsin from non-quarantine
Montana, Idaho, Minnesota, and Puerto Rico were also added back on the list after seeing a rise in cases.
Kentucky and Louisiana were removed from the list.
States on the travel order are seeing new cases at a rate of greater than 15 per 100,000 per day or higher.

CHICAGO — Starting Friday, Wisconsin makes a return trip to the city’s coronavirus travel quarantine list, public health officials said.
After Wisconsin’s rate of coronavirus infection spiked to its highest level last week, city health commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady warned that Illinois’ northern neighbor might rejoin the list of states designated as COVID-19 hotspots for having a weekly average of more than 15 new coronavirus cases per 100,000 residents.
Chicago is expected on Tuesday, for the second time, to add Wisconsin to the city’s list of states from which travelers into Chicago should stay inside their homes for two weeks after traveling there because of high coronavirus counts, a source said.
