The holiday weekend is upon us and despite COVID-19, millions are still expected to travel this holiday weekend.

It’s no surprise that people are still planning to travel – we saw it for Memorial Day, Fourth of July and now Labor Day. After each recent holiday, cases of COVID-19 spiked.

AAA is suggesting drivers pack extra food and water to reduce the number of times you’re going inside a store. Drivers will also want to pack their own cleaning supplies to use at public places like hotels.

AAA is also suggesting travelers should call ahead and ask about any restrictions due to COVID-19 and also inquire about hotel cleaning protocols.

If travelers plan on flying, they’ll want to make sure they’re avoiding crowded spaces in the airport and also able to stay 6 feet apart from everybody.

It’s important to know, some states still require a mandatory 14 day quarantine upon arrival.

Failure to follow those self quarantine guidelines could result in fines.
